“Haril” is a bird that always keep clutching a wooden twig and never leaves it. This is a metaphore of strong attachments we develop in the life to worldly wealth and events. Worldly events however are beyond our control and we invariably age as we experience the life. The wealth we accumulate but do not use is worthless and is left behind. All that wealth cannot buy us a single extra breath. A lovely poem of Dr. Buddhinath Mishra. Rajiv Krishna Saxena
