In Northern India, summers are punishing. The heat stops social interactions and people are drained of energy. Rains release the stress but it is when the winter comes, the joy really returns. Here is a very nice poem that interprets the beginning of winters. Last stanza says that the God himself wakes up and the business of tying the sacred knot begins. Rajiv Krishna Saxena
