Home sweet home! We live there but do not realize that it changes each day. Children grow up, parents grow old and die, girls get married and go away, boys marry and bring strangers home. If we go away for long time, changes become visible when we return. We miss the old home, but that is no longer there. It is lost for ever. This sentiment is beautifully expressed in the first poem. I had posted a similar poem of Nida Fazali before also (Door Ka Sitara). NRIs who return after years in foreign lands, experience this strong emotion. The second poem says that one finds ultimate peace and satisfaction in a home that is well tended and comfortable. Rajiv Krishna Saxena.
