Indian mind considers world as “Maya” or a sort of illusion. Once you realize this and consider yourself as an illusion living in the world of illusions, existential dilemma sets in and one feels utterly trapped and helpless. This feeling of being trapped is beautifully depicted here by Bharai Ji. Mirrors here denote illusions. I am tempted to translate last few stanzas in English.

Could someone cut this knot of pain
Call out from across the mirrored lane
Unbearable is this absurd unending walk
Reaching the same spot again and again
Will an exit never be at hand ?
Am I destined to only meet this end ?
Lost in these maze of mirrors
Crucified, hanging from the frames
